2024 Gumbo for Meaux Committee:
Amanda Dupuis, Polly Scalisi, Kasha Romero, Jacqueline Richard, Katie Harris, Nicole Young, Kolbie Rea, Brook Stelly & Ginny Lowe

Meaux Gumbo Cookoff has raised $250,000 for Meaux Elementary

Nine years ago, a group of parents identified a need to improve the playground at Meaux Elementary School and decided to form a committee with the goal of bringing positive change to the Meaux community.
The committee quickly got to work and organized an annual event to raise funds for school improvements and advancements. The first fundraiser, a gumbo cookoff, was a success and has grown over the years to become the biggest and best event for the community.

YEP! Easter is a week away. My weather app says Easter Day will present “Broken clouds, a high of 82, and a low of 61.” I think broken clouds mean partly sunny, and I would be happy with that. Of course, we all know that this report can change 7 times in the next 7 days. Louisiana weather, “love it or leave it”. I’ll never leave Louisiana and my Mom Mom Chalice (ka lees) said we shouldn’t complain about the weather because God gave it to us. I’ve lived with that rule my whole life, but sometimes I ask “Why, God?”
